On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is an honor and a pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd International Symposium on Deep Eutectic Solvents (ISYDES 2027), which will be held in Alicante, Spain, from 27 to 30 September 2027.

Following the successful inaugural edition in Bari, ISYDES 2027 aims to bring together researchers from academia, research institutions and industry working on all aspects of Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs). The symposium provides an international forum to present the latest scientific advances, exchange ideas, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and discuss future challenges and opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.

Deep Eutectic Solvents have attracted increasing attention over the past decade due to their versatility and their potential to contribute to more sustainable chemical processes. Their applications continue to expand across a broad range of disciplines, including synthetic and analytical chemistry, catalysis, extraction processes, materials science, electrochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, energy, and engineering. ISYDES embraces this multidisciplinary character by bringing together experts from both fundamental and applied research.

The scientific programme will include plenary and keynote lectures delivered by internationally recognized researchers, together with contributed oral and poster presentations showcasing the latest developments in DES research. Particular attention will be given to the participation of early-career researchers and Ph.D. students, providing them with an excellent opportunity to present their work, exchange ideas with leading scientists, and establish new scientific collaborations.

We are committed to preparing a high-quality scientific programme that reflects the diversity, dynamism, and growing impact of DES research while promoting interaction between academia and industry.

Beyond the scientific programme, the social events have been designed to encourage discussion and networking in a relaxed atmosphere, while allowing participants to discover Alicante, a Mediterranean city renowned for its rich cultural heritage, beautiful coastline, excellent gastronomy, and welcoming atmosphere.
